Fun with Lisa & Rylan

Lisa & Rylan were so much fun, it felt like a friend who was a long on a play date and just happened to have a fancy camera. We had outfit changes, played "restaurant", danced...checked out the farm at New Town. It was a fun evening.

Here are the gorgeous girls...and this is my favorite image of the session. I see "canvas" when I look at this one :)

Rylan has the most beautiful blue eyes (you'll see what I mean shortly...) and they twinkled. And she is quite the twinkley little star herself.

Hi pretty girl!

I asked her how old she was...I love how kids show their age with different fingers. I think it is so cute she is doing it with both hands :)

Some tu-tu love :)

See what I mean...some amazing blue eyes on this girly.

Similar image but in black and white...I loved it just as much...decisions...decisions. ha.

We were playing "cook" or maybe it was "restaurant"...I think she was trying to decide what to order.
And what else would you do in a tu-tu but twirl...duh! :)

Lovin' on momma. Be still my heart.......

Girls, I had a blast with you. I am soooo thankful Kristy referred you to me...your CD full of beautiful images is on it's way to you.
Have a great 4th!!

A Love Like This.....

A love like this is amazing, beautiful, heart felt...one of a kind. All of these words and more describe the love that Ashton & Jonathan have for each other. It was such an honor to be there to capture this love, to experience the emotions they felt and everyone felt around them. I can't wait to show you more from this beautiful LOVE filled wedding.

Beautiful Door County

I couldn't wait to start blogging about my vacation. Usually every year my whole family (parents, brother and his family) take a vacation. For years we have been going to the Gulf Coast...well in light of the gut wrenching environmental mayhem happening there we decided on a new location. After hearing for years about Door County Wisconsin. I thought...let's try it. Door County is a peninsula that is off of Wisconsin near Green Bay. It has Green Bay on one side and Lake Michigan on the other.

It was beautiful, CLEAN....laid back with some of the nicest people I have come across on any vacation.

Here are a few pics from the first few days.

We shopped A LOT...Kearsten and Emily with their matching key necklaces.

This was the harbor (under construction) in the town of Egg Harbor

The girls loved the name of this coffee/ice cream shop.

I LOVED the beautiful farms against the bright blue skies.

This was the beach of our condo...it was kind of rocky. The girls loved pretending they were on their own little private island.

We had a few sunny nice days before the rain and cold set in. That was probably the biggest bummer....not having ideal weather.

Miss Riley....being...well Miss Riley. Little Miss Thang :)

Kearsten is so adorable....and how about the sky. Holy SMOKES!!!

More to come later.....so stay tuned!

St. Louis has the best parks......

St. Louis has the best parks....AND the best families :) This one was no exception!

Sundos (mom) and I had been chatting back and forth for awhile, so when I heard from her again to schedule a session..I was very excited to finally meet them. She even sent me some pictures of her family and I thought that was awesome! I felt that it gave me an idea of their personalities...plus it helped me recognize them when we met at Oak Knoll park. Double bonus!

And here they are...cute as can be..

These two were so sweet and kind to each other.

He really wanted to give me some grass ;)

Why hello cute brown eyed boy :)

I love love love this snuggly family pic.

A quick outfit change to cool off...and still as cute as can be.

Ending with my absolute favorite image of the session. LOVE!

Thank you guys for spending your Sunday morning with me...for suggesting such a great park that I had no idea existed...and for just being fun and adorable!
Happy Summer!

The Gustafson Family

This is another great family that I know from my girls school. Ben and my Abby are in the same grade...and are both going to be middle schoolers next year...ahhhh!

They were such a fun bunch and put up with me making them walk a thousand miles and climb boulders....and all that good stuff :)

Here is Isabelle and Ben....cute as can be. :)

Mom (Julie) told me Isabelle didn't like having her picture taken. She is such a natural beauty and the camera loves her...hopefully she liked just one of these pictures well enough that it changed her mind.

GORGEOUS!!!

And Mr. Ben, he is so cute...and look at those bright blue eyes. Abby says Ben is a nice boy...and I have to agree...he was so sweet during our session. Most young boys are not fan of pictures but I never got that impression from Ben at all.

And the whole family, I am so glad they picked blue...it was a great color for them (and one of my personal favorite colors.)

And Ben told a great joke...I love these "candid" shots.

I love how Julie is looking at Isabelle here...one proud momma!

Thank you G family! I had a lot of fun with you....enjoy your summer.

Melissa, Chris & Gavin

Meet this adorable trio. Boy, am I crazy about how their pics turned out. I think what I love about them the most is the "life style" feel they have....life style or photojournalistic is my favorite shooting style and I jump at the chance to do it when I am given the green light so to speak. I knew Melissa also liked more candid images...so it worked out perfect.

Melissa and Chris were just as nice as could be and I enjoyed spending my morning with them. And Gavin....Gavin is ENERGY...and dimples and adorableness all rolled into one. He wasn't too sure about my camera...but no worries, I am SN-Eaky! And he is cute as can be and my camera loved him.
Onto the pics.....

These next 2 pics of Melissa and Gavin melt my heart. As a mom of three I know how incredibly fast our children grow. In a blink of an eye Gavin will no longer be holding his mommies face as he tells her some important stuff...but he will show her how much he loves her in other ways :) I am just so happy to have captured these sweet little moments so they have them frozen in time. That my friends is why I LOVE this job!

I love the next series of 3 of Gavin....is he NOT the cutest!!

And Gavin with Daddy.....I could just tell what a FUN Dad Chris must be.

Love this one...and LOVE the light.

OMG, sooooo sweet.

Don't worry the apple trees at Faust Park were not harmed during this production ;)

And then we were off for a ride on the carousel and to the park to play....

Thank you M,C & G! I had such a nice time spending my morning with you...and Gavin gave me a work out (which is always a good thing. ha!)
Enjoy your summer!
