Great Folks & Great New Location

I was so excited to meet sisters Alicia & Shelly and their families. When Alicia suggested we meet at Susson Park...I was thrilled. It has been years and years since I have been to Susson and this was my first "shoot" there. It is a gorgeous park and it has become a new favorite. Thanks for the suggestion Alicia!

Here are the girls and their kiddos....such a good looking group! Alicia and Shelly have the kindest kiddos...I was so impressed.

And the sisters....all sisters out there should have a picture like this :)
And don't they have such beautiful smiles!
Shelly and her boys :)

Here are Alicia's beautiful kiddos. Miss Julia is the only granddaughter...she is so lucky to have all those boy cousins and a brother to look out after her as she grows. I did get some of her smiling...but this serious face is to die for!

And her handsome brother! He was so spunky and had me crackin' up the whole time.
I love that I caught so many sweet photos of Alicia with her kids....these are just 2 of my favorite. It was so obvious to me what a great mom Alicia is...and her kids adore her.

Next up Shelly's boys......
They were so nice and put up with me putting them into all kinds of poses....I never even heard one complaint or one eye roll...and trust me...that is amazing! Shelly....your raising some wonderful gentlemen.

This one of Shelly's oldest is one of my favorites of the whole session.

And I will end it with another favorite. I love the reflection in the water and I love this in black and white.

Thank you guys! I had so much fun with you and your adorable family. Your CD's are on the way to you. Have a wonderful Holiday!

So Proud :)

I am so incredibly proud of all of these images. The whole session was really just perfect! I chatted back and forth with Andrea a bit before we met and I knew right away she was going to be awesome to work with. She loved the photojournalistic...candid type pictures that I love to take. So when I showed up on that sunny Friday afternoon to take their picture and I saw how totally adorable this family was...I knew it was going to be a great afternoon.

Andrea was one of those clients that I met and by the end of the session I felt like I had been hanging out with old friends. (We even had on pretty much the same sweater...but in different colors...great minds think alike...lol!)

I tried to narrow down my choices for this "sneak peak"...but I just love so many of them....I couldn't narrow them down any further. So you will get to see a whole lot of their cuteness.

Here is the whole family...so darn cute!!!

And this little sweet pea was so adorable...she gave me the best smiles and the best serious looks. I love that we got her to have a seat in my "pink chair."
This one makes me smile! Best Fall picture ever!!

Just like his little sis....easy as pie....he gave me some great smiles and I love how he grabs his ears. Watch the rest of the pictures below....he does this to Daddy too. It reminds me of my youngest...she used to grab our necks when she was nervous or tired. She out grew that about a year ago and I miss it every single day.
These kiddos have the most beautiful brown eyes.

I love the leaves....they had such a blast playing in them.

And acorns....I have seen so many kiddos this Fall that just love acorns....and I love capturing those itty bitty hands holding onto these Fall gems :)

This next image is my favorite of the whole session. LOVE IT!!!! I showed it to my sister in law (and Assistant) and she said LOVE IT...a new favorite....I hope I did you proud Andrea :) I love how Brayden is looking up at Daddy...probably saying "Are we done yet" :) and Avery is giving her little stuffed animal the biggest bear hug...it is just so them!
Some serious eyelashes....and I LOVE eyelashes...probably because I don't have any. lol!

Hi pretty girl!

Somebody loves his mommy! I loved the lighting during this session.

Hey there handsome!
Notice the ear ;) I love that I captured so many intimate moments.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

:)

Such a beautiful family! You guys sure have some good genes ;)

Thank you guys for spending your Friday afternoon with me....for being the perfect family and letting me capture you as "you" ...hanging out as a family. I hope I get to see you guys again....and again....and again!!
Happy Holidays!

A sweet boy's 1st Birthday

I was so excited to meet Sarah and her little guy Peter for a morning in the park. It was Peter's actual 1st birthday and I was so honored to be there to document the day. What I loved about this session, is I spent a lot of time as a "fly on the wall" and just let Peter and his mommy play. It is one of my all time favorite sessions.....from the candid/photojournalistic feel, to the awesome colors, the leaves everywhere and the incredibly adorable family.....total perfection.

Here they are...cute and snuggly.

I love this one....I love Fall it is my favorite time of year for photos, the colors are incredible. I love that Peter was fascinated with the leaves, he had so much fun looking at those and the million acorns that were falling on our heads.
Ok, seriously.....have you ever seen eyelashes like this....unreal!

Hey big guy.....I feel like he is saying "Hey you, look what I found!"

Peek-a-Boo.

Yea, one of my favorites of the session. I love close ups!

And Daddy was able to get away during lunch and stop by to see his adorable birthday boy. Somebody loves his Daddy!

Aren't they so cute! I feel like this belongs on a magazine cover or something.

And Sarah, thanks for turning me onto this great park. Blackburn Park in Webster Groves...love it!
Sarah and I were talking about how we were kind of bummed that the million days of rain knocked all the pretty leaves all the trees. But I couldn't be more thrilled with the colors and all the leaves on the ground.

Thank you Daddy! He got this big smile out of his boy...and it rocked!

Seriously want to pinch his cheeks...don't worry I won't...but I want to :)

I love all the special moments that I caught with mom and dad separately.

Sarah, you are so pretty! And I can see where Peter gets his amazing eyelashes from....I am so jealous.

If you couldn't see her amazing eyelashes in that last photo, you definitely can here.

Hope your birthday was perfect! Sarah, your CD is on it's way. Enjoy looking at the rest of the pictures of your beautiful family. Happy Thanksgiving!

Couldn't wait to meet this family!

So it starts with Miss Jen...she has been such an awesome client and I am blessed to photograph her and her family often. This time we were going to be getting together with Jen and her side of the family. I met Jen through my friend Meredith and I feel like I knew her family before I meet them. Jen has a twin sister (obvious huh?!) and her name is Janet, I spent a weekend with Jen, Janet and Meredith at "Hearts at Home". Jen and Janet were so awesome that weekend and it was so neat to see how close they are. I have always been fascinated by twins. On this weekend I got to hear lots of awesome things about their families. I know Jen's dad is a very talented musician and her mom is the greatest grandma ever. So when I finally got the chance to meet everyone I felt like I was with old friends.

We made our way to my favorite place...New Town. And here they all are....these kiddos were beyond awesome!! So well behaved....I didn't even have to beg for smiles.....did I already say they were awesome :)

Jen's parents have 3 kids and I have 3 kids so when I see photos like this it makes my heart smile to think I can have THIS in the future....WAY in the future...lol.

And I love that Jen's Grandparents came along. They were so sweet and adorable. I have had the privilege of photographing lots of big groups but this one had my first "4 Generations" and it was perfect!

And I love this one of "mom and dad".....how adorable are they!!

Cousins....I "love" cousins! And I loved the lighting that night!

Ok, this next series of 3 makes my heart skip a beat. I love them!! This is Janet with her sweet baby girl....I just caught them being themselves when they thought I wasn't looking.

And one of my favorite couples to photograph....Jen & Ben. Don't you love how their names just flow.... ;)

And their beautiful family.

Next up is Janet's gorgeous family. Here is her youngest.

LOVE this one! I am such a big fan of the ornamental grass....it makes the best textures.

And the 3 cuties!

And the family. I am telling you....these kids were so good!

And here is brother Denny and his family. I love that they brought their dog, the boys just love her. It was obvious she is a big part of the family.

And the boys wore matching Chucks....I LOVE Chucks. I have a pair on my Christmas list this year.

Such adorable boys with the best smiles!

I love this one with the sun flare...has such a nice ambiance.

And here are Jen's moms parents...the ones that started this big beautiful family.
I will leave you with my favorite of the whole session. I love how they strolled hand in hand the whole session. It really made me so happy, it was just beautiful to see. All of my grandparents are gone, so this tugged on my heart a bit. You guys treasure them....they are so awesome!

Thank you guys for spending your Sunday evening with me and running around like crazy trying to get all of this in before the sun set. It was so nice to finally meet all of you. I hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
