Some big ole' family love!

I got a call from Dana asking for an extended family portrait. I was very excited...I know a lot of photographers are nervous by the big groups but I love them. I love watching the family dynamics...the quite sister...the brother that makes everyone laugh...the grandchild that LOVES being in front of the camera.

This family was fun to watch. I could tell right away they were close and that they love their parents very much. The location of the shoot was the childhood home of all three big kids and the home that Grandma and Grandpa still lived. It was located in beautiful Augusta....on I think like 40 acres (give or take). The land was BEAUTIFUL...and it had so many awesome things.....like white picket fences, red barns (yea more than one!) and an amazing soybean field.

Here is the whole gang....and I love that they had these hay bales ready for seating. They were prepared!

And the 4 adorable grandchildren.

And the 3 D's....that is what they called themselves since all of their names start with the letter D. And see the awesome soybean field behind them.....

And the first family is up....this is sister Darla's family. Two adorable little boys....and Darla was so easy going, pretty much let me sit them anywhere. I loved the purple flowers in the background...so I am glad they were down with it :)

And the beautiful couple....I love getting couples alone for a few minutes for pictures of just them. I think it is so important.

Like I said.....adorable little boys!

After a short nap for the little guy, we got the awesome shot below.

Next up is Dana's family. I loved that Todd took the time to set up this spot for them to sit at...I think it photographed beautifully.

The handsome couple :) I LOVE this pic....love love love it. It is my favorite of the whole session. I am sooooo glad they were game for playing in the soybean field. With the awesome colors and the dark sky...beautiful.

And Dana and Todd's two beautiful children. They were so easy to photograph...and they were really really sweet to each other.

What a stunner!! I bet she loves being the only girl :)

Love all the red heads....so adorable!

Then the kiddos took off for some fun in the soybean field.

I had a great time with you guys....and LOVED seeing the beautiful home you all grew up in. I hope you love your pics!
