50th Anniversary

When my friend Mary called me to photograph her parents 50th Wedding Anniversary, I was so excited. It is such an honor to be a part of a 50th Wedding Anniversary party...if I am there as a guest or the photographer. The amount of love and commitment that goes into a marriage of 50 years is truly inspirational. Mary's family was just awesome...she has 3 sisters and 2 brothers and they were all as nice as can be. And the "man and lady" of the hour...Clem and Mary were just adorable. I had such a great time...and I am so happy with how the pictures turned out.
Here is the Church where the party was located...Sacred Heart Church in Eureka....what a beautiful campus. (Ok I don't know why this is underlined...ugh, and I can't figure out how to change it...sorry for the distraction).

This picture of Clem coming in with his friends and family behind him is my favorite picture of the whole party. I love the light streaming in behind them...and the happy faces...everyone ready for a good time.

Clem and Mary's family had the hall decorated so beautifully. They made these little masks with a picture of Clem and Mary as kids.....so cute!

There are 17 grand kids....yep, I said 17. Ok...my mom and dad have 4. I don't want to hear them ever complain about buying Christmas presents again. :)
Here are just the boys....

Here are all 17....I love this one because of the 2 youngest grandsons in the middle...they are in their own little world....love it!

Cutting the cake...this cake was beautiful!

Here they are....told you they are adorable. It was such a pleasure to just be there and witness their celebration.

The whole clan. Good looking group....right.

The party was very upbeat....with lots and lots of laughs....like you see below.

And let the dancing begin.....these two just stole the show. How adorable are they.

More dancers.....

Everyone had a great time. Thank you Mary and family for asking me to capture all the awesome moments of the night. Clem and Mary congrats on 50th years!

Can I get a WOOT WOOT!!!

I am soooo thrilled to finally have my website launched. This blog has been so wonderful for starting out my business, but I finally got to the point that if I want to keep growing this business I need a website.
So check it out www.lisakellyphoto.com
It was a LOT of sleepless nights...many gray hairs and in the end I didn't think it would ever get "launched". But it did, and I am very proud of my labor of love. I hope you like it too.

Because I can't have a post with out a picture...here is a little sign of Spring...one of my favorite times for portraits...so give me a call.

My Girls and Ice Cream...two of my favorite things!

Saturday I took my girlies and my niece Kearsten out for some formal photos..it had been a year since I had taken any planned photographs of them. After the day I had...I know why I waited a year. I LOVE taking pictures of other peoples kiddos...but my own...yea, not so much. My niece Kearsten was wonderful...so she is excluded in that statement. My girls are extremely close to their cousin Kearsten...so she is always included in all the family pictures, because she is like an extra sister.

So I got a lot of this....
A lot of attitude...like this........

But after a lot of pleading, bribing and begging...I was able to get some good ones.
I knew from the get go I had to take my Abby to this spot...her turquoise eyes matched the backdrop to a tee.

My four favorite girls in the whole world....even if they make me work extremely hard for a good photo....

Another of my Abby girl....when she wants to...she can really work a camera.

From my oldest to my youngest...here is my baby girl Riley...she makes my heart skip a beat.....

More of Miss Abby...this was probably my favorite of the whole session. And the pose was 100% her idea.

My adorable niece Kearsten...who didn't make her Aunt work hard for it.....

And Miss Em...with her fancy new hair cut....so darling.

After we left New Town we headed down to Old Town St. Charles....I love this one too...the American Flag in the back drop is too cool.

Miss Em was putting on some moves at the end....guess she just had to warm up to it. :)

So after I said "Just one more"....500 times...we finally gave them their reward. ICE CREAM!!!

What a great way to end the day...but I decided I need something a little stronger than ice cream. Until next year......

Beautiful Blue All Around

Had to start off with this one because...OH MY GOSH...BEA-utiful. I love so many from this session....but if I have to pick a favorite (so hard to do) it is this one.

Let's go Cardinals...let's go...hoo hoo. Love the Cardinals jersey and how sweet is she in her little Cardinals cheerleader outfit. Can you tell they adore their beautiful baby girl?? I know I can.

So sweet......

I think I have said beautiful twice all ready...so how about gorgeous! Love the head tilt Liz. Your a natural :)

Oh my gosh, the grass is so green. Love it!

Yea, did I say...beautiful blues...this group was full of folks with the most beautiful blue eyes.

How handsome is he??

Giving his big brother a run for it....

I love everything about this picture....body language is key.

Yea, this one is pretty awesome too!

More beautiful blues....blue eyes and green green grass...perfect combo.

Ok, I am taking my kids to this exact spot next weekend...love it.

Meredith loved this cousin picture...I know how long the boys and Brittany have waited for a cousin...glad that I was able to capture such great pictures of them, they will have these to look back on in the years ahead.

The light in this one was just awesome and I think it went well with the sweetness of this family. Who adore being parents.

Loved it in black and white too...couldn't decide on a favorite so I posted both.

Favorite of this family. You guys are so darn cute!

This pose was the suggestion of Kelly Ferguson, my HUGE helper for the day. I think it is such a sweet pose. Thanks Kelly for the suggestion and your help. Watch out...I think your going to be seeing a lot of Kelly in the future...she is a blooming (very talented) photographer.

HOT Stuff!!

More beautiful blues!! Is she not the CUTEST!! I am serious, I could eat her with a spoon....and that is not meant to be taken literally ;)

And with her adoring Daddy........

With a big group like this it is sometimes hard to nail the perfect shot...and I certainly hope they think this one is it...because I was soooo happy with it. And I have it in color too...but LOVE it in black and white.

I was lucky enough to have photographed all of the kiddos in this group before...but never the adults. What a good lookin group, huh?? Thank you guys, I hope you love them...and I know that your mom will! Hope to take more of you guys in the future.

Sweet Baby Boy

Do you remember this adorable family from last Fall? Well they have added another adorable little boy....who I was so excited to meet.

Here they are as a family of three....

This precious baby makes it four. Here he is only 10 days old...and oh my gosh, so sweet.

Ten perfect little toes...............

Great big yawns........

Baby Hudson was pretty alert most of the time. His Daddy did tell me that while I was there was the most he has ever cried....but you can't tell by these pictures. He looks as content as can be.

Oh my Gosh, so sweet. Probably my favorite of the session.

Holding Daddy's finger.

Love this one too, love the natural light coming in.

Thank you guys for spending the afternoon with me, and changing Hudson's clothes a million times. He is one lucky little guy and you can tell he is loved so much. Thanks to Jess, my sister in law for her help. She always comes through for me....as my right hand gal.
