Holiday Spirit!

I have had the pleasure of photographing Dawn and her adorable family before. Their family session is one of my top favorites and her family is all over my website :) So when she called me for a session with her parents and sister and her sister fiance...I was so excited....plus it was my first ever "Christmas" inspired photo shoot. So we headed to the most festive place ever....Historic St. Charles. It was cold....but they braved the cold (coats went on and off a lot) and I think we got some fantastic pics!

Here is the whole crew....I love their colors.

Right outside of Lewis & Clark is this HUGE pine tree and they have it decorated like a Christmas tree, with an angel on top and everything.
Dawn, her sister Sarah and Mom :) Love this one, it is one of my favorites of the whole day.

The boys were so cute playing around this big clock....bet you can't guess the time ;)

We had our choice of awesome spots....hint to anyone that wants to travel down to St. Charles for Christmas photos....do it EARLY in the day....long before the shops open.

The newly engaged couple...Sarah and Nick. Aren't they so cute!! If it wasn't so cold....I would of made them put up with me a lot more....and I would of gotten a ton more photos...but we had to keep the train a movin.

Dawn and Jack's adorable boys! I love it anytime they are on the other end of my camera.

LOVE this one of Dawn and her family. My favorite of the day.

Thank you guys for braving the cold with me. I hope your Holidays are full of family, love and fun!
Merry Christmas!

My friend Becky

This adorable family probably looks familiar. Ken (Becky's husband) and Jamey have been friends since they were kids and through this friendship I got Becky. Now I think that we see each other and talk 10x more than the "boys" do....but I think that is just how girls are. They may look familiar because they were my perfect practice family way back when I first start my little biz. They spent hours with me in New Town. So I was so excited when Becky mentioned some pictures this Fall. We tried a new location "Lafayette Square" in downtown St. Louis. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in St. Louis with this beautiful park and some of the most gorgeous homes I have ever seen. I loved all the stone and wrought iron....it had a very French/European feel to it....kind of reminded me of New Orleans.

I knew that the crew would show up looking gorgeous. Becky has great fashion sense and she always looks like a million bucker-oos. So with this cute little family that looked like they walked off a fashion magazine and the great location...we had a perfect match.

Here they are....aren't they the cutest!

Another great thing about Ken and Becky is that they are very open to more artistic photos and they really just let me do my thing. I LOVE this one!
I love this one...the light was popping through the trees just perfectly and I love that gorgeous home in the back ground.

Here we are spot lighting Miss Jessica...the baby of the family. LOVE it!

This one makes me smile. I just love this family! We also have kiddos very close in age. Madelyn and my Emily are BFF's :) I have watched these cuties grow and they are like family to us.

This is my second favorite family shot...I love the iron gates and New Orleans feel of this spot.

And here are the kiddos. I love how these turned out....such a photogenic group of kids.
Look at those eyes and the adorable freckles.

Miss Madelyn reminds me so much of Emily....they are so similar it is crazy. She has such a "California girl" look about her.

Oh and this one of Miss Jessica melts my heart....her beautiful long eye lashes and those chunky cheeks... :)

Hi sweet girl!

They had so much fun taking pictures of the 3 of them, it is fun to watch them interact.

Love these next two of Ken with his girls....and Becky with her guy.

I love to take time during a family session to get some of just mom and dad. I feel every couple needs some photos of just them. I have to say these are some of my all time favorites. You guys rocked it! :)

Thank you Bec, for your friendship....for making me laugh all the time and letting me bend your ear more than I probably should...and giving some of the best advice. We love you guys and are so thankful to have our little families intertwined with yours!
I had a great time getting you guys out for these pictures! I think they turned out beautifully and represent your family so well. See you soon :)

My BE-autiful Friends!

These are my friends Laura and Scott and their gorgeous family. Gosh, I have known Laura...hmmm....10 plus years now. Laura and I met playing Bunko with our friend Mary and she was one of the people I instantly connected with. She is the easiest person to be around, funny....sweet as can be. Our little Bunko group as long since dispersed...but Laura is one of the few people I remained friends with. We don't see each other as often as I would like....for the occasional Happy Hour or if Mary plans one of her fabulous movie nights. But when we (Hi Becky, Mary and Leslie) do all get together we pick up right where we left off. This is the first time I have had the pleasure of photographing her family, but hopefully it won't be the last.

Here are her boys....Tristan and Brendan. Tristan was just a baby when I met Laura. We have kiddos very close in age.

And I can't forget this beauty! This is Miss Lauren....I always think of her as this chubby cheeked 3 year old...but she is growing up so fast. She was such a natural in front of the camera...some people just have "it" and you Miss Lauren are one of them.
This is in Scott and Laura's back yard. Seriously...doesn't it look like we are in some forest. The light in the trees in the background is amazing! One of my favorite backgrounds ever. Laura....I might be bringing some clients over to your yard in the future...don't mind me :)

And I had to get some of the boys by themselves. The light was awesome this day. And I LOVE Tristan's serious look.....so handsome!

Hey there cutie!
And all three kiddos, it is always cute to watch family dynamics. They are a fun loving bunch.

FAVORITE!!!!

I love this one too. Laura, I seriously don't know how your gonna pick a favorite family photo...they all turned out so good.

Ok, second favorite. I love it anytime I can spot light the "baby" of the family. If you watch my work....I do it a bunch of different ways. But this is one of my favorite ways. :)

Love this one too...love the reflection in the water.

Scott and his "little" guy. I can say...Scott is one heck of a Dad. (I have always thought that about you Mr. Pacino). And I thought this picture show cased that perfectly. Scott is also one of the funniest people I know. Makes me laugh every time I am around him.

Pacino family....your beautiful...I LOVE ya! Thanks for spending a few precious hours of your weekend with me. And I hope we do it again!

Daniel Family

I met up with Kathy and her crew on "black Friday"....with the beautiful lighting that day and the adorable family below, it was anything but black :)

Here they are....such a cute and fun family!

These kiddos were such good sports! And too cute to boot!

It was really neat to see the relationship between brother and sister. It reminded me a lot of my childhood, I have a younger brother...and watching these two made me smile.

Beautiful lighting!

I love these next two!

This is my favorite of the whole session! Just love it soooooo much. I love Hanna's pose and how Trevor is standing....this one would be a big ole canvas at my house ;)

So sweet and at those beautiful blue eyes!

Thank you guys for spending your black Friday with me..... :) It was so much more fun than fighting the crowds...don't ya think :) Hope to see you guys again in the future.
Merry Christmas!!

Lucky #7

Yep, 7 kiddos. It exhausts me just thinking about it :) No, really...they are awesome kids! Natasha (pretty brunette) contacted me to take pictures of her and all her sibs for Christmas....if anyone knows Natasha's mom..."shhhh".

We met on the rainiest...darkest day. It stopped raining about 20 mins before our session...but it was still dreary. But their bright smiles (a pops of pink) brightened up the session.

Here is the crew of 7.

I love this and I loved watching the dynamics between the siblings...the older ones looking out for the little ones...it was sweet to watch.
Here they are in chronological order...oldest to youngest.
Look at those awesome eyes!
Hi Natasha! Thanks again for calling me :) Your momma is gonna love these!

Total ham...and I bet a bit of a ladies man.

The serious look....he nailed it!
Love the accessories....I want this headband :)

See that pop of pink I was talking about earlier...boy it looks awesome with all the dark of the day. She is so darn cute too!!!

And the baby of the family....I love how he sucks on his fingers. So cute!

The End! (And my favorite photo of the day!)

You guys are awesome! I truly envy your big ole' family....always wished I had lots of brothers and sisters....so always appreciate each other....it is a blessing you have each other.
Merry Christmas!
