I am sooooo excited to show you this postively beautiful family! I love little families of three...especially when they are a dream to work with and they all have the most beautiful blue eyes :)
The adorable little guy below is 6 months old and he had the cutest facial expressions. I had so much fun with this trio!
Big thanks to Sara for sending them my way....and thank you so much mommy Jen for contacting me :) I still think it is soooo cool to find out we are neighbors...maybe I will see you at the neighborhood pool this summer or out walking around when it warms up.
Hugs!
Lisa

What is in a name......
Lisa Kelly Photo.....picking my business name was one of the hardest things for me. I thought about "catchy" sophisticated names....nope, couldn't come up with anything. Thought about just using my first and last name...Lisa Scherer Photo, but it just didn't flow the way I wanted it to and I knew the chances of anyone actually prenouncing my last name would be slim. Kelly is my middle name (I think probably 80% of my clients assume it is my last name) But I have always liked my middle name, it is an ode to my "Irish" ancestory. So Lisa Kelly Photo was born. :)
Fast forward a year and I am in photography class when I meet another awesome photographer by the name of Kelly Ferguson...she was so kind and approachable and was nice enough to show me some Photoshop tricks after class one day. Little did I know that Kelly would become one of my dearest friends and my "rock" in the business. I have been so lucky to have her by my side this past year shooting all of my weddings with me...and I with her. We work like a dream, she is so creative and we sometimes don't even have to communicate...we just "get it done". It has been to me one of the biggest blessings I have had out of this journey.
As we enter 2011 Kelly and I have agreed that shooting weddings is something we could never imagine doing without each other. We will work all our weddings together going forward and we are in the process of developing our own wedding blog.
I wanted to share some of my favorite "out-takes" of Kelly and I at our weddings this year. They make me smile! And my goal is to look as hot as Miss Kelly does with a camera strapped around my neck....time to hit the gym :)
I love this image above, it was at the St. Louis Photographers Shot Party this past summer, hosted by the amazing Kelly Manno. We were like giddy little school girls getting to see one of our idols Jasmine Star live and in person :)
This last pic I call "My Girls"...Kelly, myself and my sister in law Jessica. Jess has been sooooo instrumental in helping me with my business. From referring me tons of business, to cheering me on...or listening to me rant at the end of a LONG Fall season. Most importantly she designs all my Gift Certificates, Newsletters and helps with editing. I owe so much of my sanity to her!
I guess there is something about this snow that is making me sentimental, but just had to give a shout out to 2 of the ladies that keep me going in this business.
Love ya Kelly and Jess!!

Puppy Love
Puppy Love and we are head over heels for our new family member. Her name is Noel beause she was born 4 weeks before Christmas. She is such an amazing little pup....and has brought so much to our family in the 2 short days we have had her. Crazy I know...but my girls are working together to be such awesome "pet owners" there has been so much laughter and happiness in my house these past few days. Now if only they would leave her alone long enough for the poor girl to sleep.
Of course she has become my new favorite subject and I am super excited to document her growth. She is 8 weeks now...

Lanie's 6 Months
Oh Miss Lanie, how you have grown. I get the pleasure of capturing Lanie many times her first year...and I love it!! I was amazed at how much she had changed in just 3 short months (proof is below..a pic from her 3 month shoot and then now at 6 months). She is a happy baby...and such a pleasure to photograph. The first year is full of soooo much change and I am a bit jealous that Lanie's mommy and daddy are going to have this collection of photos of her. I did not do anything like this for my own girls and I regret it.
Can't wait to see you this Spring cutie girl!

Christmas Time Photos-My Last Shoot of 2010
I was very happy to have my last session of 2010 with our dear friends Russ and Tara and Tara's family. Jamey (my hubby) and Russ go way back...and we don't get to see Russ and Tara often enough, but when we do it is always a TON of fun.
Tara's sister and her family were in town from New York, so for Tara's parents Christmas gift they decide to do some family photos...I was honored they called me to take them.
I love what we got...and I even got some of the gang outside in the snow for a few. It was cold...but they were my favorite images of the day, the light was amazing. It makes me hope for another session in the snow sometime.
Thank you guys so much! I had a great time "capturing" you :)
Happy New Year!!
