Love & A Weeping Willow Tree

Historic St. Charles is always one of my favorite spots to meet for a photo session and especially with little boys. They LOVE the trains and the tracks. We weren't sure we were going to get this session in because it had stormed all the way up until the morning we were supposed to meet. I am so glad we did...it was an awesome time had by all :)

Little Logan is such a doll and he was a bit shy at first, but he quickly came around and was giving me the best smiles!

We headed towards the river and to this little weeping willow tree, I am IN LOVE with weeping willows. I would love to shoot a whole session under one. These are my favorite images of the day.

I love taking a few moments to focus on the "grown ups" during a family shoot. Even if it is just to fire off a few quick shots, it is always important to have photos of you and your love. This is one of my all time favorite images I have ever taken....LOVE LOVE LOVE it. When I look at it, it my heart smiles :)

Then we headed for some ice cream, we all can use a little ice cream break now and again.

This was during "tickle time" and my favorite of the three of them of the day.

It was so much fun spending some time with you guys and getting to watch the three of you just be "you". I am so glad we took a chance on the weather and met. Awesome awesome day!!
Happy 4th!!

Cuties Times Two

I was very excited to book my first family session that involved twins. These two little guys and their super sweet big sister were a ton of fun! I have always LOVED twins. My cousins are twins and both of my maternal grandparents are twins. I think there is an incredible bond between twins, one that us "non-twin" people would ever fully understand.

These little guys had very distinct and very different personalities but it was so cute to watch them interact with each other. Even at just one year, I could already see their sweet bond. We did do some first birthday cake pictures, but the boys weren't having it. I told Katie that even though they were crying instead of eating their cake that she will love these pictures 20 years from now. Mommies always look back at the "imperfect" pictures and appreciate the moment in time that they captured!

Ok, enough chatter....onto this adorable family!

They are lucky to have such an amazing big sister!

 Love those cute dimples!

They loved their first wagon ride.

Thanks, guys! You were so much fun to shoot and your kids are great. Hopefully they dived right into their cake at their birthday party!

Loved this Session!! With an exclamation!

I have been hitting the jack pot lately with the cutest blue eyed kiddos. This little guy is a complete DOLL and his mommy is so very sweet and just gorgeous too. We met up and had the best time escaping the heat by hanging out in the shade on a quilt....letting him explore :)

I love all his sweet expressions, it is so cute how he sucks his little bottom lip in.....that face, melt my heart!

I love this one!! He looks like he is ready to take off walking :)

So sweet....and see, isn't mom a beauty!

A favorite of the day!

Little at those two little teeth....gosh this is just the cutest age!

He was very interested in the grass and especially these little flowers (or weeds...but flowers sound better. ha ha). He would concentrate really hard and try his best to pick one....so cute to watch.

I had the best time capturing these....you all have been so patient waiting for your CD, thank you for that! I really hope we get a chance to do this again :) Maybe for the big 1st birthday? ;)

Talkin' about my Generation :)

I have had the pleasure of shooting this sweet little family many times and I truly enjoy each time I see them! They are so sweet and enamored with their little girl.

When I got a message from Gen asking if they could schedule a "multi - generational" shoot, I was very excited. Grandparents are soooo very important and I miss mine every single day. I know the amazing bond my girls have with their grandparents, and to dedicate an entire session to the love of many generations is something very special. I hope they will treasure these images for many years to come.

Here is the star of the show...getting a helping hand from mom and Grandpa. :)

Showing us her skills on the stairs.

We did a lot of walking and hand-holding during this session, but when the 1 1/2 year old wants to walk....then we walk :)

This session was such a pleasure! Can't wait until we get together again.
